It is a </strong><strong>freely available fruit mainly in India and adjoining continents. It is famous for its antibacterial,</strong><strong>anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antioxidant and immunomodulatory properties. It contains </strong><strong>many compounds like morin, cynomacurin, artocarpin, isoartocarpine, cyloartocarpine, </strong><br><strong>artocarpesin, oxydihydroartocarpesin, artocarpetin, norartocarpetin, cycloartinone, betulinic</strong><strong>acid artocarpanone and heterophylol. These compounds can be useful in some of the human </strong><strong>disorders and diseases like fever, boils, wounds, skin diseases, convulsions, constipation etc.</strong><strong>Jackfruit possess many therapeutic qualities, which have been attributed to its wide range of </strong><strong>physico-chemical applications.
